FAQ
Where does the magic happen?
All of my products are produced in my certified home kitchen, which I clean on a daily (and project) basis.
When handling fresh products, scooping doughs, packaging boxes for shipment, etc, I wear sterile disposable gloves to keep everything clean and contaminate free.
All my ready made cookies and doughs are stored in a chest freezer, where they remain super chilllll until baking or shipping time.
Your orders will be sealed and packaged by me, then dropped off at the post office or hand-delivered, usually also by me. I love to meet my customers!
Ordering
Choose a cookie/preserve box. Choose them all! Pack them in your shopping cart and checkout using Paypal or Stripe for Credit/debit cards.
Payment
I accept Paypal and credit/debit cards through the online store. If you would like to arrange another form of payment, please email hellopoppetspantry@gmail.com.
Shipping
Understand that I make cookies and candies based on the volume of orders I receive. Orders can take up to a week or longer to process and produce, depending on size and complexity. Keep this in mind if you’d like your box shipped by a certain date. Generally, my ship days are Monday-Wednesday. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number so you can track your package to its new home. Shipping costs are based on the volume of your order. All orders will ship via priority mail unless otherwise designated.
Delivering
I currently make deliveries to Brooklyn residents only. Delivery fees are applied at checkout. For further questions, please email me at hellopoppetspantry@gmail.com.
Packaging
All orders come in adorable, reusable boxes. Each box will contain a packet listing all the ingredients for items included in the box and any food allergy information. I do my utmost to snugly pack your treats so that they arrive in one piece! However, the postal system is a wild place, and I cannot guarantee your package will arrive with no breakage. Thanks for your understanding!
Who I work with
When possible, I seek out local suppliers to stock my pantry. Here are some of the local farms/businesses that I order from:
Chocolate: Raaka single origin unroasted organic chocolate, based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Generally, I use their 71% baking chocolate, sourced from a farm in the Dominican Republic, but sometimes I use other specialty bars or types.
Sometimes also El Rey chocolates based out of Stonewall, Texas. They’re not local but they are a wonderful small business and they make top quality non-deodorized white chocolate.
Flour: Brooklyn Granary&Mill supplies the bulk of my flours, which are milled on site in Gowanus on a weekly basis and sourced from several grain collectives in upstate NY.
Sometime also Ground Up Grains, sourced from small farms in NY state.
Sometimes also River Valley Community Grains, sourced from small farms in New Jersey.
Butter&dairy: Ronnybrook Farm, based in Ancramdale, NY.
Eggs: Rexcroft Farm, based in Athens, NY.
Honey: Beekeeper’s daughter, based in Plains, PA and Joly Bee Honey based in Putnam, CT and sourced from hives in and around Putnam.
Maple Syrup: Deep Mountain Maple based in West Glover, VT
